To the people at this site – thanks for your website. It’s good to know someone is taking an interest in us drivers. My question is at this point I’m worried about my car insurance. It really doesn’t cover me for this type of work. I bullshitted a bit on the paperwork and if they knew I was driving for money it would not cut it in terms or cover. What should I do?
Well SW, you’re not the only one dicing with the insurers as a driver and no doubt you’ve done the maths on proper cover. It’s difficult to see how there is a decent return in driving with rideshare apps if you don’t somehow “save” on the insurance. We’d find it hard to discourage you from what you’re doing but do you really feel safe? It’s your call.

It’s some time ago now but I was driving in a holiday area where price levels for trips were off the charts (peak demand we’ll call it) and I immediately drove to the area but as I did the prices reverted to normal. Not the first time. I’m tired of being manipulated and ripped off by rideshare companies. What can be done?
- Unfortunately at the moment politicians have little interest in rideshare drivers and their plight but hopefully things will change via sites like this one
